Both of these pack a portable punch. They’re ready to capture sound in any circumstances at the chosen volume at a will. You won’t go wrong with Tascam. But is Tascam Portacapture X6 or Tascam Portacapture X8 the more superior version?

The winner is…

In the end, Tascam wins. Neither is a clear loser but ultimately, for the price, the Portacapture X8 is by far the best investment. Ranging from variable XLR inputs to the ability of the microphones the X8 will get someone further for longer. In terms of price, both are an investment. For a bit more you have a lot more options for growth and development. There is no limitation on specific cables to plug in.
